Warranties
Work we stand behind
Every S&S Mechanical installation includes a workmanship warranty on our labor, and we register manufacturer equipment warranties for new water heaters, tankless units and boilers.
Workmanship warranty
Our installation labor is guaranteed. If something we installed fails because of how it was installed, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Manufacturer equipment warranty
Water heaters, tankless units and boilers carry manufacturer parts warranties, commonly 6–12 years on tanks and heat exchangers. We register them for you.
Extended coverage
Maintenance plan members get extended labor coverage and priority service on equipment we maintain.
Content needed from S&S: Your exact workmanship warranty length and terms (e.g. 1 year labor), any extended labor warranty for plan members, and exclusions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a labor warranty and a manufacturer warranty?
A manufacturer warranty covers defective equipment parts, such as a water heater tank or boiler heat exchanger. A labor (workmanship) warranty covers the installation itself and the cost of the technician’s time to fix it.
Do you register my equipment warranty?
Yes. We register new water heaters, tankless units, and boilers with the manufacturer so you get the full coverage period.
What can void a manufacturer warranty?
Common causes are installation by an unlicensed installer, skipping required maintenance such as tankless descaling, or not registering the unit. Our maintenance plans keep you in compliance.
